It had been a while since we had heard from Ferrari, who had then chained the novelties in record time, with a mix of the F8 Tributo and SF90 Stradale, not to mention the 812 GTS and the Roma . A busy schedule for the Maranello brand, which had therefore given itself a little well-deserved rest. Finally, that’s what we thought, before some intriguing and very promising images appeared on social networks. At first glance, we immediately recognize the 812, with its characteristic lines, with plenty of aggressiveness. But something tells us that this is not just a modified version by an owner, as Ferrari just issued a press release about it. And for good reason, this new version of the Italian sportswoman is none other than an unprecedented special series, whose name remains secret for the moment.
If the brand does not want to give too many details on its new creation, it does offer us a few things to eat, while waiting for the official revelation expected in a few days. But one thing is certain, just by seeing the front panel, we realize that this 812 is not a standard version, as suggested by thehuge grille, which incorporates two air intakes on each side. The whole then gives the sport an even more threatening and aggressive face, while we also note the arrival of new aerodynamic appendages at the wheels, aimed at cooling the mechanics, and in particular the brake system. But it is especially at the rear that the changes are most visible, while the bezel is now covered with aluminum, while the diffuser benefits from a new stroke of the pencil. The interior remains unchanged from the base version of the 812 Superfast, although some details have been changed to make the presentation more exclusive.
Power on the rise
If all the technical characteristics of this new special series of the Ferrari 812 have not yet been revealed, the brand still wanted to give us some information on its engine. Unsurprisingly, this new addition to the range inherits the V12 of the standard version, the power of which was however revised upwards to 830 horsepower. That’s no less than 30 horses more than the sports car we already know well, making this version the most powerful of all road Ferraris. If the maximum torque as well as the 0 to 100 km / h have not yet been announced, we know however that this V12 is capable of reaching a speed of 9500 rpm, a record within the range. The performances should then be totally insane if we are to believe all these figures!
However, we will have to wait a little longer, while the official revelation of this new limited series of the Ferrari 812 is scheduled for May 5.
