Drivers and teams
The ten teams entered in 2020 continue to make up the grid, except that two of them changed their surname. Racing Point has given way to Aston Martin, while the Renault group has entrusted its commitment to its brand Alpine. These two teams welcome a multiple world champion, respectively Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso. For his part, Mercedes has kept for the fifth consecutive year a pair made up of Lewis Hamilton, defending champion, and Valtteri Bottas. Conversely, Haas has completely renewed its duo, making debut Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin. Romain Grosjean having left the discipline, there is now only two French drivers lined up in F1, Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon.
