A few weeks before its presentation, the new Audi RS 3 is revealed through several images published by the brand.
We are finally starting to know a little more about the next generation of the Audi RS 3. More than a year after the presentation of the new A3, followed a few months later by its sportier version, the brand stops at expand the range. And the least we can say is that this new variant is long overdue, while no official information has yet been revealed about it, nor any teaser. But it seems that we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, while the German firm has just published a series of pictures in which finally appears this future RS 3, still camouflaged. The perfect opportunity to bring together the entire range Audi Sport, for a photo shoot the result is rather nice. In the same image, the new Audi RS e-tron GT, as well as the RS 6 and RS 7 or even the RS Q8, which produces 600 horsepower, are side by side. A very nice family photo, which proves that the brand with the rings is not ready to give up its sports … and that’s good!
But let’s focus a little more on the new Audi RS 3, which proudly sits in the center of the image, accompanied by its sedan version, also dressed in a colorful camouflage. However, it is not very difficult to analyze the style of the sporty compact, which unsurprisingly takes up the lines of the Audi A3, with its new light signature and its completely revised front panel. The rear is also taken from the standard version, but of course, many specific elements have been added to make these two versions more aggressive. A more advanced aerodynamic kit than on the S3 is therefore to be expected, with undoubtedly a new shield and a more elaborate diffuser. But it will still take a little patience to learn more about the exact style of this new Audi RS 3, as well as its interior. This should remain very close to the S3, with its large touchscreen and its Audi Virtual Cockpit digital handset.
Up to 400 horsepower
As you can imagine, you shouldn’t expect any surprises under the hood of this future Audi RS 3, since it will obviously retain the five-cylinder block. 2,5 litres TFSI from the previous generation. If nothing has yet been officially announced by the Ingolstadt brand, this new version should then develop no less than 400 horsepower, against 310 for the current S3 which tops the range for the moment. In addition, Audi also underlined that a small surprise was planned for the sportswoman, without giving more information for the moment. Enough to make our mouths water, while awaiting its revelation, expected in a few weeks now. Could it be an electrified version, while the brand is increasingly turning to this type of engine? Nothing can be ruled out for the moment, but one thing is certain, Audi has proven its expertise in this area to us with its e-Tron GT. We are reassured!
