Google has just announced the upcoming opening of its suite of Workspace productivity tools for all users with a free Google account. The firm also announced new features for its Chat and Meet services.

Last October, Google launched Workspace to take over from G Suite. First reserved for professional accounts, the suite of productivity tools will be open to the general public, the firm has just announced. Now to use Workspace, it will be enough to google account free.
Google Workspace understands applications Gmail, Chat, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Meet and many more, which are already available for individual users. However, service is a way to integrate all applications Web from Google. Users can now discover part of Workspace by replacing Hangouts with Google Chat in the options of Gmail. It allows you to create rooms, share documents, access Google Meet functions and more.
No launch yet planned for France
The Trade Show function (Rooms in English) of Google Chat is evolving. This competitor to business messaging Slack will soon be known as Spaces, with a new interface designed to integrate directly with files and tasks. Google has also just announced Meet Companion for the month of September. This tool will simplify meetings that mix present and remote participants, by giving each person physically present a thumbnail in the videoconference and the possibility of interacting directly with people connecting remotely.
However, do not look for the option to set up Workspace right away … The individual version of the service is not yet available. According to Google, it is coming “soon” for users in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Australia and Japan. No date has yet been announced for France.
