F1 GP Austria 2021: TV and streaming program

The Red Bull Ring circuit is hosting a second consecutive F1 event, July 2-4. How to see the Austrian Grand Prix?

In the month of July 2020, the land of Mozart had been tasked with launching a season deeply delayed by the health crisis. On this occasion, two races had been organized on the Red Bull Ring in order to compensate for the numerous defections from non-European rounds. In 2021, twice repeated, even if the calendar is more busy than the previous one. In reaction to the cancellation of the Canadian Grand Prix (June 11-13), the French GP was brought forward by one week to leave its niche for a second Austrian event under the label of GP de Styria, named after the region in which the plot is located.

Departure at 3 p.m. on Canal +

Unlike last year, the Austrian GP takes place after that of Styria. Last weekend, the Red Bull team triumphed on their land thanks to the victory of Max Verstappen. The Dutch driver and his team took the opportunity to consolidate their status as leader of the world rankings, respectively ahead of Lewis Hamilton, at 18 points, and Mercedes, at 40 lengths. As a reminder, the Red Bull Ring circuit is one of the shortest of the season with 4.318 km and the two races held in 2020 had crowned the Mercedes drivers, Valtteri Bottas then Lewis Hamilton. This Friday July 2, the two free practice sessions are broadcast live on Canal+Sport. Saturday, Canal + takes over to broadcast the third session, at noon, then the qualifications, at 3 p.m. Sunday, the start of the Austrian Grand Prix will also be given at 3 p.m.. The race will be on display at Canal+, in the same way as the rise of the grid, an hour earlier. In addition, the subscription to the official service of the discipline, called F1 TV Pro, requires 64.99 euros for a year, or 7.99 euros for a month.
