Less than a week from the start of first pre-season tests, scheduled for February 23-25 in Barcelona, the tempo goes up a notch. The ball of revelations of Formula 1 for the season 2022 enters its home stretch with the entry on the scene of two prestigious teams, Ferrari and Mercedes. The Scuderia made an appointment with this Thursday, February 17 at 2 p.m. to lift the veil on his new creation, baptized F1-75 in reference to the celebration of the release of the first car from the Maranello factory, 75 years ago. For its part, the star team, queen of the constructors’ championship since 2014, will unveil its new single-seater on Friday.
The pilots: Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz
On the occasion of his first year at Ferrari, Carlos Sainz surprised observers managing to regularly dominate Charles Leclerc. Moreover, the Spaniard ended the 2021 financial year being better ranked than his Monegasque team-mate, with 164.5 points against 159 points and 4 podiums to 1. With solid experience at Toro Rosso, Renault and then McLaren, he is a regular contender for the Top 5, with two second places to date as best resultat Monza 2020 and Monaco 2021. For its part, Charles Leclerc had had a promising start to his career, rewarded with two victories in the summer of 2019. Ferrari’s goals for 2022
In 2020, Ferrari had hit rock bottom by achieving its worst season in F1 for four decades, narrowly beating the small Scuderia AlphaTauri.
