By small touches
Our spy photographers captured a first prototype, on a well-fenced parking lot near the company’s development center in Ingolstadt. And if it hadn’t been for the thick camouflage covering the front and rear ends, this future A6 could have passed under our radars, the changes are subtle.
One thing that catches the eye is the grille, which seems to be a bit smaller. Nevertheless, it could be a camouflage trick. It is surrounded by new headlights which, however, give the impression of displaying the same light signature. For its part, the front bumper has also been modified, as has the rear, with an extra touch of aggressiveness.
The sedan, the station wagon and the sports cars revisited
We can also expect some changes in the cabin, such as a new software for the infotainment system and possibly new upholstery options. It is still too early to tell if the powertrain family will be updated. As for the reveal date, the facelifted A6 could be presented for the first time during the second semestre 2022both in sedan and Avant station wagon body styles, followed by the Allroad, the S6 and the RS 6 a little later.
