Already available to order, the new restyled Opel Grandland unveils its prices and starts from € 29,950.
It has only been a few weeks since the new restyled Opel Grandland was unveiled to the general public, since it was in June that it saw the light of day. On the program, many improvements on all points, starting with the design, revised in depth, especially for what is only a simple facelift. In theory, at least. Because at first glance, the compact SUV changes radically, displaying a completely new front end inherited from the new Mokka and the concept Opel X Experimental unveiled a few years earlier. Offering the unprecedented Viewfinder grilles, consisting of a black strip connecting two more aggressive optics, this new Grandland also takes advantage of this little facelift to free itself from the “x” that had previously made its name. On board too, the changes are clearly visible, adopting the new Pure Panel, a slightly barbaric name which actually describes the new dashboard bringing together two screens side by side, a bit like what Mercedes already offers.
While the interior and exterior of this new Opel Grandland are therefore undergoing a real transformation, this is less the case with the range of engines. It’s very simple, it does not in fact change one iota compared to what we knew with the previous version. Customers will therefore have the choice between gasoline and diesel units, then developing 130 horsepower and associated with a manual or automatic eight-speed gearbox. Two plug-in hybrid versions are also available, strong at 225 or 300 horsepower, as on the Peugeot 3008 or the Citroën C5 Aircross, its two technical cousins. It is rumored, however, that a more accessible 180-horsepower version is also in the works, but nothing has yet been officially confirmed by the brand. Anyway, the compact SUV is already available to order, while the first deliveries are scheduled for the next school year.
