Inspiration DS4
We still know little about the extent of the restyling to which the DS7 (without Crossback) will be entitled. But we will naturally move towards a rationalization of the style, in line with the codes initiated by the recent DS4 who prefers to emphasize style rather than artifice. Exit the escalation of chrome for this 2.0 version of the SUV which should also adopt a light signature similar to that of the compact. On board, the modifications should be more tenuous, the passenger compartment essentially contenting itself with updating the digital environment. We should, however, attend the removal of the automatic gearbox lever in favor of a simple selector. Freeing up space on the center console, this ablation could encourage engineers to graft the DS Smart Touch touch screen from the DS4.
Up to 360 hp?
Under the hood, it is still too early to come forward on any engine developments. Its cousins 3008, Grandland and C5 Aircross making still deadlock on the 180 hp plug-in hybrid engine introduced on the new generation compact (308, Astra, DS4), there is little chance that the new DS7 will adopt it. But its premium status could make it eligible for 250 hp variant recently installed in the bowels of the DS9, in addition to the blocks currently accumulating 225 and 300 hp.
