The company therefore decided to analyze the lyrics of songs published on Lyric.com, taking into account only relatively well-known artists, and leaving aside brands with ambiguous names such as Jaguar or Lincoln, which could be cited in other contexts.
According to the study, it is therefore Mercedes that would be the most represented and most appreciated brand by artists around the world, since it is mentioned in no less than 16,415 songs. In 2nd position, we find Lamborghini, mentioned in 9,546 titles, followed by Bentley, present in 8,474 songs. As you will have understood, luxury brands are therefore favored by artists, since the first places in the ranking are occupied by Ferrari, Porsche or even BMW and Audi.
Which artists?
But the insurance comparator did not stop there. Indeed, the site also wanted to know which artist was the biggest car lover, based on the number of times a brand was mentioned in their songs. And cocorico, it’s a singer from our country who comes at the top of the ranking, since it’s the rapper Jul, which reportedly mentions an automaker in no less than 113 of its headlines. This one is then quoted by Kollegah, with 112 songs, then by Migos, with 68 titles. Lil Wayne would also be very fond of cars, mentioning at least one brand in 58 of his songs, then ahead of Tyga with “only” 48 titles. It is Chamillionnaire who then arrives at the bottom of the list, with 29 of his songs evoking a car brand.
