Eight French municipalities are going to experiment with radars capable of identifying two wheels exceeding the authorized sound level. Ultimately, the goal is to be able to verbalize offenders.
Some municipalities will experiment from thefall next anti-radarnoise supposed to detect and identify the noisiest two-wheelers. If it will be a question of prevention initially, the first verbalizations could fall as early as 2022.
A first experiment will take place in 8 cities, including Paris, Nice and Toulouse. This initiative follows an amendment adopted in the framework of the mobility orientation bill, which authorizes the establishment of a period of experimentation before being able to control and, if necessary, sanction too noisy vehicles.

The first targets are obviously all those who have tampered with their motorcycle, starting with the unclamping of the exhaust, which is completely illegal.
