MG unveils a first teaser of its next electric model, which could walk on the flowerbeds of the Volkswagen ID.3 with a similar size.
The news is intense for MG at the moment. The Sino-British brand recently announced the marketing in Europe of the MG5 electric station wagon, after having successfully launched the Marvel R, while an electric roadster dubbed Cyberster is being prepared for the brand’s centenary in 2024. In addition to all this, MG will soon present a new electric model, as the first images published on the web show.

It is in the form of a short video that we partially discovers the future electric model, which could be called MG4 or CyberE. This vehicle, of which we do not know much, would be in the compact category with a size of 4.30 m, the equivalent of a Volkswagen ID.3 (4.26 m). The manufacturer claims that its new model has been developed and designed for European and British customers. It therefore has a style in tune with the times, with a wide strip of lights at the rear, 17-inch rims, a panoramic roof and sculpted sides or even underbody protections in black in an adventurer style.
Presented by the end of the year
The technical part is still unknown, but it could be that the future electric compact uses engines from the MG 5 (156 or 177 hp, 51 or 72 kWh battery) or the Marvel R (180 or 288 hp, 70 kWh battery). The model could be presented in the form of a concept car at the Beijing Motor Show next April, before being officially presented and marketed at the end of 2022.
