A few months after its unveiling, the new Lexus NX is now available to order, starting at € 48,990.
It was last June. Lexus then officially revealed the second generation of its NX, renewed after more than seven years of marketing and a restyling, which took place in 2017. Completely new, the SUV hybrid has not yet operated a real revolution on the aesthetic level, with relatively discreet developments almost taking more of the mid-career facelift. Anyway, this new version is distinguished by an enlarged and more vertical grille, now surrounded by optics in a single part. At the rear, we note the lights connected between them by a light strip, a detail taken from the Lexus UX, while the rest of the tailgate remains virtually unchanged. 2 centimeters longer, this newcomer to the range is now a little more livable, while the driving position offers a new 9.8 to 14 inch touch screen depending on the finish chosen. The standard equipment is also rather generous, including among others the reversing camera, keyless access and LED lights.
But the main change is mostly hidden under the hood of this new Lexus NX, which is offered for the very first time a plug-in hybrid engine. This is not a new creation, however, since it was taken from the Toyota RAV4, then combining a 2.5-liter Atkinson cycle petrol engine with an electric motor, thus developing a power of 306 horsepower. Two other simple hybrid versions are also available, displaying no less than 242 horsepower, sent to two or four wheels depending on the version. Note that this new generation also offers the even more complete Lexus Safety System +, integrating several devices to detect various obstacles such as pedestrians, cyclists or trees. We now invite you to discover the prices of this new Lexus NX, the first deliveries of which should begin shortly.
