Unveiled a few weeks ago, the Hyundai Casper comes in an astonishing N version, imagined by an independent designer.
Perhaps you missed this news. A few weeks ago, Hyundai lifted the veil on an astonishing small SUV, called urban Casper and adopting adorable rounded lines. If it has already won the favor of the press and the public in Europe, it will unfortunately be reserved for the Korean market. This does not prevent us from dreaming of arriving here a few years later, some manufacturers adopting this strategy. And above all, it did not deter the independent designer.t 722_modeing to imagine an N version stuffed with hormones. This could then enrich a now full sports range, with the i30 and Kona, as well as the i20 N, the only one currently marketed on the Old Continent, the others being penalized by their CO2 emissions. If this Hyundai Casper N So should never see the light of day with us, maybe these designs will inspire the Korean brand, which could then launch this variant in its country of origin, who knows?
Anyway, the result is quite successful, as the graphics tablet pro imagined the car from all possible angles. Unsurprisingly, this variation uses the famous shade Performance Blue characteristic of the models in the N range, associated with numerous red inserts, on the front and rear bumpers but also on the side skirts. The front end has also been redesigned, with an enlarged and painted black grille, which features the N logo, giving a more aggressive face to the small urban SUV. The rear also benefits from a new brushstroke, with a black diffuser incorporating two round tailpipes. The car also seems to have been lowered slightly, although the designer did not give details about this in the description of his Instagram post. Finally, the look of the fun car is completed by a tiny spoiler on the roof, as well as black rims.
What engine?
Based on the platform of the new Hyundai i10, the new Hyundai Casper should not be able to accommodate too powerful engines if it were available in an N version. As a reminder, the city car currently tops out at 100 horsepower, from the three-cylinder petrol unit 1.0 liter T-GDI. However, let us dream of installing an even more efficient engine. Imagine if Hyundai installed its 1.6-liter 204-horsepower T-GDi, the same as the i20 N? The result would then be totally incredible! Anyway, there is still very little chance for this version to see the light of day, and we will undoubtedly have to be content with dreaming in front of these very successful images. However, an N Line variation of the Casper could perhaps see the light of day, then taking on sporting aesthetic attributes, with an engine which is a little less so, of course.
