In addition to the discount put in place by the government, Total announces that it will lower the liter of fuel by 10 cents on April 1.
While the price of fuel is still very high this week, the government has decided to act to help the French and preserve their purchasing power. Unfortunately, still no reduction in taxes as the associations for the defense of motorists have long demanded, but a small gesture. Admittedly, this is more symbolic than anything else, and it shouldn’t be enough to calm the discontent of drivers, but it should still allow for some savings. Indeed, from April 1, a 15 cent discount will be applied to the liter of fuel throughout France.
A discount at Total
A little boost eagerly awaited by the French, while the price of fuel still exceeds two euros. But the government has also appealed to distributors, asking them to make a gesture for motorists. TotalEnergies responded to this, announcing the implementation of an additional discount of 10 centimes per liter of gasoline or diesel, throughout France. A little help which will then take effect from April 1 as well.
In total, 25 cents will therefore be saved by the brand’s customers. Something to put a smile on the face of motorists under pressure, in the face of prices that are still very high, whatever the fuel. Note that the stores Super U have also decided to play the game, by cutting back on their margin, which is then equivalent to a discount of 1 to 2 cents on the price per litre.
