Several pilots asked the organizers to review a curb after the crash of Mick Schumacher.

The controversies over the Jeddah circuit continue. The host route of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, which is being held this Sunday, is the subject of requests for modification by several Formula 1 drivers.

In question ? The curb located at the exit of the “S” made up of turns 9 and 10. It caused the violent accident suffered during qualifying by Mick Schumacher and the spectacular crash of Cem Bolukbasi in Formula 2.

Several drivers have asked for it to be leveled for Sunday’s race.

“With the new generation of car, you have to drive with a very low ground clearance, explained the McLaren driver Lando Norris, Saturday evening. It will probably be necessary to change a few curbs on the circuits of the calendar. I think this is one of them.”

“There were two accidents, and Cem was in the hospital. With this type of car, you can’t have such an aggressive curb,” says the McLaren driver. His team-mate Daniel Ricciardo echoed that sentiment.

According to our colleagues from The Race, the organizers of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix have not planned any changes before the race this Sunday evening.
