The Sochi circuit is hosting the 15th round of the F1 season, from September 24 to 26. How to see the Russian Grand Prix?
[Mis à jour le 24/09/2021 à 16h45] Entered the calendar in October 2014, the Sochi circuit is preparing to celebrate its 8th edition, which will also be the penultimate. Indeed, the contract linking the Russian route to Formula 1 has not been extended beyond next season. However, this does not mean that Russia will no longer have a Grand Prix as of the financial year. 2023 since the city of Saint PETERSBOURG, further north, should host the discipline on Igora Drive, a new route designed by architect Hermann Tilke. For its part, the Sochi circuit, located in the extreme south of the country, was designed near the former Olympic park which hosted the Winter Olympics in 2014. Due to a lack of variety in its turns with fully asphalted clearances, it has often been compared with a parking lot. The Russian Grand Prix is contested at the end of 53 laps of this course with a length of 5.848 km.
