TotalEnergies has just installed 505 charging stations compatible with all models in a car park under the Madeleine church.
An electric charging station
TotalEnergies continues to develop its offers related to renewable energies. The French company has just installed no less than 505 charging stations in an underground car park managed by Saemes (controlled by the city of Paris).
Located under the Church of the Madeleine (Paris 8th), the latter hosts Terminals compatible with all models from all manufacturers. In addition, an area of 30 places is dedicated exclusively for electric two-wheelers.
The power of these terminals short from 7 to 22 kilowatts (kW). Enough to recharge batteries in a handful of hours. On the price side, a service cost of 50 euro cents including tax is added to the cost of recharging, set at 40 euro cents including tax per kWh.
TotalEnegies specifies that users can access the service with the brand’s Fleet card. It’s about scanning “a QR code allowing them to pay on a dedicated website or with other mobility service operator cards”reports the Parisian.
Underground sockets, a market that is surfacing
This increases the supply in a growing market. On the road, the terminals are indeed legion. But this is not the case with underground car parks. Which shouldn’t last, since many actors are changing gear on this subject. TotalEnergies and Saemes are the best examples.
Thus, 240 terminals are already available at Porte d’Auteuil and a dozen at the Jean-Bouin stadium. They will see the addition of more than 350 terminals in the spring in another car park, in Saint-Augustin-Bergson. In all, Saemes aims for 1,100 connectionsthe thousand being expected by the end of 2022.
TotalEnergies also hopes to diversify its offer, with even more powerful terminals, up to 175 kW, by 2025. All this is added to the Bélib offer, on the surface this time. The latter consists of the conversion of 425 former stations of the Autolib’ network. In one year, 2,200 outlets were created. And that’s only the beginning…
