Self-driving cars are more and more present in the global automotive landscape and their development could well lead to the end of human driving, according to a British study.
Self-driving cars are the future of the automobile, there is hardly any doubt. Elon Musk and Tesla work on it relentlessly and so do many other more discreet builders.
So it’s no longer a secret to anyone but a new study confirms this. This is the British company IDTechEX, specializing in the research of new technologies, which has just published its estimates. Autonomous driving systems will be more reliable than human driving by 2024, she says.
A very close date but not unthinkable for them. Indeed, if At present, the autopilot software, like that of Tesla for example, is still to be improved, their reliability should not delay any longer.
Once this step has been taken, all that remains is to grant the prices so that everyone can access this technology.
Still according to IDTechEX, human conduct could then be permanently banned in the United States by 2050. An estimate that will send chills to all driving purists for sure.
Inevitable?
All these dates are only estimates of course and nothing has been formalized yet.
