A yellow vest who was demonstrating alone on a national road in Brittany in 2020 had his license canceled by the Vannes court.
On October 9, 2020, motorists taking national road 24 between Ploërmel and Guer (Brittany) experienced an unparalleled scene. That day they were indeed disturbed by a “yellow vest”. Yes, one, only one “yellow vest”, all alone in its manifestationwhich blocked traffic.
How did he do it? Well just winding at 30 km/h and zigzagging on the roadway, to prevent overshoot. If he got wind of this story, Jacques Villeneuve must have appreciated (F1 fans will understand). In short, a technique worthy of the greatest racing drivers!
In any case, his way of doing things paid off. Several hundred motorists have indeed been held for about thirty kilometers. Except that here, this kind of action is dangerous and prohibited. Oh good ?
License canceled for the “yellow vest”
The services of the Interdepartmental Directorate of Western Roads are therefore intervened, to signal the danger. they were closely followed by law enforcementwho have arrested the man at the gates of Rennes.
Today aged 60, the latter was therefore tried on Wednesday, before the Vannes court, reports The Telegram. His charge: willful obstruction of traffic.
Already well known to the police, the individual defended himself by invoking the fact to have the right to protest and not to have put someone in danger. The day before his action, the man had moreover sent a video to the policeannouncing his gesture.
The prosecutor retained the right to demonstrate, however denouncing the endangerment of others. Six months in prison were requested. The judge decided otherwise, since he therefore canceled driving license of the culprit and inflicted on him a fine of 200 euros.
