Used Kia Sportage III: our opinion, from 10,000 euros
ADVERTISEMENT

Cousin of the Hyundai iX35, this family SUV combines roominess, comfort and reliability. It can be chosen in an all-wheel-drive version.

From 2010 to 2016, from €10,000

Like its cousin and clone the Hyundai iX35this third-generation Sportage boasts a rather flattering aesthetic, especially after the spring restyling. Its generous roominess, its vast trunk (564 to 1,353 litres) and its good damping comfort make it a successful family car.. In addition to a dominant driving position and good ergonomics, it enjoys good driving pleasure and good handling, given its size, despite a somewhat light steering. Calm and reassuring in traction, its behavior logically becomes much more rigorous on the versions 4×4. Remains of materials and assemblies that are sometimes a little light. At this price, you have the choice between the 1.6 liter direct injection petrol engine with 135 hpquite efficient and particularly reliable, or the 1.7 CRDi 115 ch ; le 2.0 CRDi 136 hp, often associated with the AWD transmissionbeing a little more expensive or mileage.

Reliability 4/5

Good reliability tainted by a certain number of failures on the CRDi blocks.

  • 1.7 CRDi engines : failures of the vacuum pump, the throttle valve or the particle sensor; sometimes premature wear of the clutch and flywheel.
  • Gearbox : gears becoming hard (oil change recommended); box replacements.
  • Undercarriages : slamming at the front (stabilizer bar links); noisy rear shock absorbers (reminder).

Examples of announcements

1.7 CRDi 115 Active 2WD 2013 32 000 km 9 900 €
1.6 GDi 135 ISG Origins 2WD 2012 106 000 km 10 300 €
