A failure caused by competition?
Spectators filmed the scene, which quickly becomes quite chaotic with the sound of drones bouncing off the ground and on cars. Some were able to take refuge in the shopping center. According to local site Kanzhaji, the drone operator reportedly reported the incident to the police, claiming that a competitor blocked the transmissions of drones.
This is not the first time that such an incident has occurred. In May 2020, a dozen drones crashed during a similar spectacle in Chengdu city. Police then arrested four men from a rival drone company. Not having been selected to organize the show, they had retaliated by using jammers to sabotage the competition.
