When the mythical Berlinette adopts the stylistic codes of the current Alpine A110, the result is an explosive “restomod” cocktail.
Alpine A110 Restomod – The restomod culture is in full swing in the automotive industry. However, the emblematic Dieppe firm has not yet taken up the subject to breathe a light wind of modernity on the first generation of Alpine A110. The one nicknamed Berlinette has nevertheless transmitted its DNA to the current representative of the range, released in 2017. Auto-Moto jumped at the chance to mix certain attributes of the contemporary model with its ancestortime for exclusive illustrations.
It is with parsimony that we retouched the1972 Alpine A110 which served as the basis for this execution. The general line continues, but is now based on wheels completely filling the wheel arches, while the rims of the current A110 fit it. For their part, the dual front optics are adorned with a technologie full-led, overhanging a sill having stored the original turn signals and other long-range headlights. A shock of simplification which also sees the sides cleared of any handle and other monograms, retaining only the recent logo on the front fenders. Finally, the stern sees its lights adopt the X-shaped light signature.
