Alex Rins takes the lead in the first practice session of the Catalan Grand Prix MotoGP. But the times achieved by the pilots are to be taken with a grain of salt. These latter do not represent actual performance from each other. Many pilots have passed new tires in order to achieve a good time such as Alex Rins (Suzuki), Maverick Vinales (Aprilia) or Pol Espargaro (Honda). While some have focused on understanding the behavior and evolution of tires in the space of ten laps.

Note the difficulties of the Ducati clan and in particular of Francesco Bagnaia. The Barcelona-Catalunya layout does not give any particular advantage to the power of the Italian engine. It benefits more from the lightness and agility of the Yamaha by Fabio Quartararo. However, pay attention to theAprilia by Aleix Espargaro which is since this season the most complete motorcycle in all departments.
