MG enriches its range with the Marvel R, a brand new electric SUV which intends to compete well with the Volkswagen ID.4 and other Kia EV6s.
This is the story of a brand that is starting to rise well. Still little known in Europe a few years ago, the young Chinese brand MG Motor is gaining ground and is now making its mark on the market. After the MG ZS EV, its first electric model, the company launched the EHS, a rather convincing plug-in hybrid SUV. This time, the firm returns to the segment of zero-emission models, with a trendy vehicle adopting a positioning much more upscale than the ZS. Unveiled a few months ago, this newcomer now details its range of prices, while orders have just opened. Direct rival of the Volkswagen ID.4, Kia EV6 and other Ford Mustang Mach-E, this MG Marvel R adopts a rather futuristic look that could confuse some. On board, the presentation is also very modern, with a huge touch screen in a vertical position, which obviously reminds us of what Tesla had previously offered with its Model S.
In total, no less than two versions are offered for this new MG Marvel R, which is therefore available with 180 and 288 horsepower, in two or four-wheel drive. The first version, which then embodies the entry level, promises to be able to travel 370 kilometers in a single charge, while the second has a total range of 407 kilometers. In total, three finishes are offered within the range of this new electric SUV, with a rather generous endowment from the first level, including among others the parking sensors, the digital handset or a slew of security assistance. Displayed from € 39,990, this Marvel R benefits from an ecological bonus of € 6,000 in its 180 horsepower version, while the most efficient version benefits from a small boost of € 2,000.
