It may sound crazy, but 10 years ago, the Circuit of the Americas was not yet over. Its construction was well advanced but the asphalt had not yet been poured. But it took more to discourage Red Bull.
It was in 2012 that the first F1 Grand Prix on the Circuit of the Americas (Texas) took place. One year before, in 2011, the concrete had not even been poured yet.
Yet the stable Red Bull had come there in scouting for an advertising spot of which they have the secret. The goal was simple. Roll the car on the track, but on earth. An ambitious project with their former driver, the Scotsman, at the wheel David Coulthard.
But this will offer us one of the most impressive Red Bull videos ever recorded. The single-seater slips, skids on the dirt of Texas but manages to stay on the track.

See you this weekend!
But why such a memory? Well simply because this weekend will be the ninth United States Grand Prix on this circuit.
And when you look at how the season has unfolded so far, Red Bull has every chance to shine once more under the Texan sun.Max Verstappen will he be able to make the difference this Sunday? It is possible, especially since on a real paved circuit, it is easier to maneuver.
