Kia completes the range of its EV6 with a new battery version of 58 kWh, which makes the price stagnate below 48,000 €.
When it was launched, the Kia EV6 had a single 77.4 kWh battery, available in several power levels. To complete its range and cope with the increase in raw materials which is driving up prices, the manufacturer is launching a new entry-level version equipped with a 58 kWh battery.
From €47,990
Like its cousin Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Kia EV6 receives this 58 kWh variant only associated with a propulsion transmission. It is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous electromotor. This delivers 125 kW, the equivalent of 170 hp. Thanks to this cell pack, the range varies between 394 km in the combined cycle and 578 km in the urban cycle. This “small” battery version is only available with the entry-level Air Active finish, starting at €47,990. This therefore gives the right to a bonus of only €2,000, the maximum bonus threshold of €6,000 having recently been increased to €47,000 instead of €45,000.
It should be noted that this price of €47,990 is identical to that of the old entry-level Air Active of 77.4 kWh and 229 hp at launch. We therefore pay the same price for an EV6 of 170 hp and 58 kWh today as for the variant of 229 hp and 77.4 kWh before… The 229 hp variant has recently been increased, and is now displayed at €51,990. Above, the 325 hp 4×4 version is available from €55,990. Finally, the sporty GT variant (4×4 and 585 hp) is offered from €72,990, and therefore has no bonus.
