After an urban rodeo that occurred as part of a wedding, the municipality of Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis) appealed to the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin.
On July 22, a sad image once again made the rounds of social networks. That of a urban rodeo, in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis), succeeding a marriage that degenerated. This right in the town hall square, under the windows of the town hall, trapping a few pedestrians present in the square at the moment.
A story that, of course, did not please the elected officials. The municipality has thus recalled its regulations on marriages. Two decrees thus govern this celebration, as well as a charter comprising no less than 10 articles of good conduct. The authorities have also alerted the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin. Objective: ask him to take measures in order to better supervise the ceremonies at risk.
Tackle vehicles instead of perpetrators in an urban rodeo
First, the mayor, Mathieu Hanotin, asked the government to look into the origin of the vehicles. In effect, “at least half of the vehicles were leased and registered in Poland« believes Nathalie Voralek, his assistant, at the Parisian. This is explained by the principles of subletting paid in cash.

7,460 law enforcement personnel were then mobilizedpour 21,425 checks. Which led to 136 arrests, 96 police custody et 3,325 verbalizations. On the other hand, only 118 vehicles were seized.
Let us remember that a specific law, that of the August 3, 2018, punishes urban rodeos. The latter are in fact liable one to five years in prison and a fine of 15,000 to 75,000 euros.
