After the Type H, it is the 2CV Fourgonnette which inspires the Italian coachbuilder Caselani. He developed an original body kit based on Citroën Berlingo to revive the van adored by craftsmen.
Since 2017, the Italian coachbuilder Caselani has been offering kits to give the modernized Type H appearance to Citroën Jumper then Jumpy and Spacetourer vans. After a great success, especially with craftsmen who transform it into a food truck or a flatbed truck for example, the specialist tackles another myth of the Chevrons: the 2CV Fourgonnette.
A completely different front end from the classic Berlingo
A few days ago, Caselani published a teaser on his social networks announcing the news. The bodybuilder has just published new photos, this time official. It is a conversion on the basis of the current Citroën Berlingo. The model, only sold in electric now, is based on the CMP architecture of the Stellantis group. The aesthetics have been revised, especially at the front with rounded fenders, offset round headlights and a large old-style grille. A large part of the bodywork opts for corrugated sheet-like streaks, as on the inspiration. The roof benefits from a kind of box reminiscent of that of the 2CV Van adored by craftsmen.
The 2CV Van kit for Berlingo was validated by the Citroën teams last spring, since Caselani distributes its vehicles under Citroën licence. For the moment, Caselani has not yet revealed all the details of this kit, which will potentially be sold in small series. Pricing was also not disclosed.
