As for diesel, the decrease exists, but to a lesser extent. This energy only loses 5.6 euro cents per liter. Diesel fuel now sells for €1.8782/L on average in France. Prices less inaccessible, even if they remain high.
Other “significant” drop to note, that of E85. This last fuel goes from €0.8446/L to €0.8086/L. Side LPG, the decrease remains much more modest. The latter loses only 0.19 cents per literto switch to 0,8566€/L.
What evolution for fuel prices in August?
The month of August will be interesting to follow, for fuel prices. This will be the last month before the gasoline and diesel rebate is increased to 30 euro cents per liter. This will be done on September 1, until the end of October. From this date and until the end of the year, it will drop to 10 centimes/L.
Fuel prices could therefore fall in the coming weeks. Some mention even a liter at 1.50 euro. Which is still expensive, but less inaccessible than €2.20. Unless inflation picks up again, with the end of summer and the approach of winter. Various politicians do not fail to point out that the prices could take on the appearance of a roller coaster.
