Tesla’s Optimus humanoid robot should take its first steps by the end of September, for the firm’s AI Day.
Tesla is the name of a great inventor. It is also that of an illustrious car brand. And it may soon be that of a great robot inventor ! Indeed, Elon Musk’s brand is working on a humanoid robot. Named Optimus, he could take his first steps (and not turn the wheel, this time) from September.
It is for this reason in particular that the event « AI Day », during which the firm reports on the progress of its artificial intelligence projects, has been postponed. Originally scheduled for August, it will therefore be held in September, on 30. And Optimus should be featured there. Especially since the conference poster tease robot hands in question. The latter forming a heart there.

A humanoid robot for menial tasks… which could become a companion
The primary purpose of this robot would be to perform tasks « that humans no longer have the faith to accomplish« , said the billionaire, boss of the firm. Thanks to the development of artificial intelligence, the latter could nevertheless become a companion.
It remains to be seen how this will develop in the future. Elon Musk announced production of the Optimus robot from 2023. Either in just a few months, while the technology of this robot remains a very complex area.
The man has already promised fanciful projects, which did not come to fruition. Network of superchargers powered by solar energy, rocket trips between cities are part of it. Right now, the simple development of the self-driving car is floundering, as is the oft-delayed Cybertruck pickup. Let’s also mention the planned takeover of Twitter, which will eventually lead to a trial.
