The Chinese compact electric Ora Cat will arrive in Europe. Germany will distribute it first thanks to Emil Frey.
With its round lines and very competitive prices, the Ora Cat from Great Wall Motors continues to intrigue. The arrival on the European market of the Chinese electric compact is becoming clearer, since Germany will be able to distribute it.
Indeed, it is the Swiss importer Emil Frey who will be responsible for bringing the Cat to the Old Continent. It is in Germany that this very competitive electric compact will make its debut. In Europe, Great Wall Motors is primarily targeting Germany and Great Britain.
These two markets will serve as life-size tests for the popularity of the make and model in our markets. The Ora Funky Cat, that’s its name in Europe, debuted before the summer on the UK market. Thereafter, Great Wall should extend the marketing of the model in the rest of Europe, and in particular in France.
In addition to Ora, Emil Frey should distribute Wey, the Great Wall brand which markets a Chinese clone of DS 7 Crossback. The partnership between Great Wall Motors and Emil Frey should, logically, extend to the whole of Europe. The two entities are in any case working in this direction, while the Swiss importer will also work with Xpeng.
