Fisker has revealed that the Ocean, its electric SUV, is meeting with unexpected success. Release edition bookings confirm this trend.

Last month, Fisker opened pre-orders for the Ocean One, the model’s release version. Less than a month later, all copies have found takers. The manufacturer had requested 5,000 euros to reserve this more luxurious version.

Fisker has announced that it has sold more than 50,000 copies that the brand has yet to produce. According to its projections, this figure could reach 80,000 units by the end of 2022.

“The enthusiasm we are seeing around the world for the Fisker Ocean is truly humbling” said CEO Henrik Fisker. “Together with our Magna partners, test vehicles roll off the production line at the carbon-neutral plant in Graz. »

“We are working diligently to expand production beyond the current projection of 50,000 units per year. The aim is also to expand our activities to meet this growing demand. We are thinking in particular about producing in the United States. »
