A year after the Chinese brand’s first electric SUVs, the first Nio ET7 electric sedans are now on their way to Europe. Deliveries will take place in the fall in several countries.
Nio respects its program announced a few months ago. The deliveries of Nio ET7 promised for the fall will probably be on time. The first copies have indeed embarked for their journey from the port of Lianyungang (Jiangsu). Not a big wave yet, since we are talking about around 200 units of the large Chinese electric sedan here.
These first units will supply Norway, the first European country to have hosted Nio, but also the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden. Above all, the arrival of the Nio ET7 should be an opportunity to launch the brand in Germany. At the Munich show in September 2021, Nio had indeed indicated that the ET7 would be its first model sold across the Rhine.
A flood of novelties
In the process, Nio should chain the launches of new models in Europe. We are thus expecting the ET5 sedan from the start of 2023, then the last ES7 SUV. These two models will be followed by the EC7 and the ES9 which have not yet been presented in China. A 5-door version of the ET5 (hatchback or station wagon?) should be the culmination of this sequence of launches, in parallel with which geographic expansion will continue. In 2023 Nio is expected to settle in Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland…
