What better way to demonstrate your mastery of propulsion at hydrogen than to design a supercar ? This is precisely the idea of the British company Viritech with which has just unveiled a concept of electric supercar baptized hydrogen Apricale. The fireball will be produced in only 25 units from 2023.
For the moment, we know absolutely nothing about his performance. On the other hand, Viritech announces that it will weigh “half as much as its battery-powered competitors” thanks to hydrogen tanks in graphene which will be structural parts of the monocoque chassis.
According to Coach, the Apricale will develop 1,110 hp and cost £ 1.5 million (not far from € 1.8 million at current prices). Its technology should serve as demonstrator for the hydrogen powertrain that Viritech wishes to develop on the heavy truck transport, aviation as well as boats. The company is also working on a benchmark design of SUV baptized Tellaro as well as on a truck called Jovian.
