Near Paris, the town of Blanc-Mesnil will set up new parking badges. These are deemed unfalsifiable.
Lately, vehicle parking has been a sensitive subject, especially in or near large cities, with ever more restrictive measures. Faced with these prohibitions, fraudsters get organized. And the authorities are trying to respond, with means deemed ever more effective.
The latest example can be found at Blanc-Mesnil (Seine-Saint-Denis). Parking is regulated, thanks to specific badges. A thumbnail obviously not sufficiently protected, since counterfeits would have been made. The municipality, which is advancing this, has therefore decided to react.
Thus, a new type of macaroon will be implemented soon. The latter will be “designed with materials and visuals impossible to reproduce”, says the town hall. Moreover, they will be references “to identify and verbalize any attempt at fraud”.
Fight against sucker cars and free up the road with these parking stickers
Their implementation will extend between September and December. A transition period, during which the two macaroons will coexist. Nevertheless, from 1 January 2023, only these new vignettes will be valid. The old ones will no longer have any value. Be careful not to be mistaken, if you are concerned.
This decision is part of the decision to set up these macaroons. The goal is, as in many cases, to avoid the phenomenon of sucker cars. The latter remain in effect for days, weeks or months in a particular place, which disadvantages the inhabitants.
Inhabitants to whom the then mayor, Thierry Meignen (Together!) wished “make the roads »in 2019. Thus, residents (and a few exceptions, such as carers, work providers, etc.) can park without time limit. For residents of other sectors, this is limited to two hours. To see if these new thumbnails will be really effective.
