From September 1, the government is increasing its fuel rebate to 30 cents per litre. TotalEnergies sets up a rebate of 20 cents.
September 1 is an important date for motorists. Indeed, while fuel prices are high and rising again, this September 1st marks the beginning of a break in these increases.
Indeed, this date coincides with the increase in the government rebate on fuel prices. From September 1 to October 31the latter will pass at 30 cents per litre, at the pump. An increase of 12 cents, compared to the 18 currently offered.
From the November 1 and until December 31, this discount will then drop to 10 cents per liter. Enough to conclude the year with aid that began on April 1, the end of which has been repeatedly postponed. This while more fair and more targeted aid has been under study in recent months.
Total also offers its fuel discount on September 1
The government is not the only one to act from this September 1st, in order to bring down fuel prices. TotalEnergies is indeed launching a discount of 20 cents per liter. Like the Executive, it will run on all fuels. As well diesel than gasoline.
Like the government’s measure, the latter will increase to 10 cents from November. This until the end of the year. A situation similar to the rebate implemented on April 1stwas already 10 cents.
The latter should “cost” around half a billion euros to the French energy company. It is established largely to do something for consumers. This while the company’s profits are at their highest, thanks to the war in Ukraine. The purpose of this gesture is to avoid a tax on the super profits that are currently being made. As is already the case in other European countries.
