Windshield wiper failure: an unlikely technique to get out of it

Summer is coming to an end, the bad weather is partially back but you have to be prepared to face the rain. So what if the windshield wipers no longer work?

Dealing with a wiper failure, we’re not going to lie to each other, it’s rather unpleasant. Especially since, most of the time, you see it when it starts to rain.

That’s why today we see together an unusual but effective technique, to get us out of this tricky situation. Of course, it is better to realize this in front of your home.

In the middle of the road, impossible to apply it and it is better to stop until the rain calms down. Because yes, driving in a downpour and without windshield wipers is no! Visibility is not sufficient and driving then becomes much too dangerous.

One potato and you’re done!

Hard to believe and yet, the solution to stubborn wipers is a simple potato. In an emergency, if you absolutely have to take the car out in the rain, rubbing a raw potato on the front window can help.

Indeed, the latter leaves a thin layer of starch on the glass. A water-repellent effect is then produced which allows the water to run off without it remaining blocked on the windshield.

It can also work against fog or frost when temperatures drop too low.
