Good news, November 11 falls on a Thursday! Check out Bison Futé’s predictions for the upcoming bridge.
We cannot say that the year 2021 was rich in long weekends, with holidays falling almost almost all the time on Saturday or Sunday, unlike 2020, which had been a very good vintage on holidays. However, good news is looming as the November 11th, Armistice Day falls this year on a Thursday! The opportunity to extend the All Saints holidays a bit or to take a break if you haven’t taken any vacation since this summer. And a word of advice, take advantage of it, because the next long weekend will not arrive before Easter Monday, next Monday April 18, while Christmas will fall on a Saturday this year. Suffice to say that this November 11 should be quite busy on the roads, at least, that’s what we might expect.
But in practice, this should not be so much the case, according to the forecasts of smart one. The little Indian does not foresee any crowds on the roads during this extended weekend, with a territory classified as green in the direction of departures and returns from Thursday to Sunday. Only small subtlety, November 14 will be classified orange in the sense of returns to the Paris region. The only day that will undoubtedly be a little more difficult will be Wednesday, November 10, when many motorists will be on the road, probably more at the end of the day. All of France will then be classified orange, while theIle-de-France will be red in the direction of departures. It would be best to leave early enough, if possible before noon. You can also try to take the secondary roads if you are not in a hurry, which will also save you in toll costs.
