Alpine is embarking on a new art form. After presenting a “artcar”Developed with the artist Felipe Pantone, the manufacturer from Dieppe unveils a new original study. Foreshadowed by an enigmatic teaser a few days earlier, the novelty is in fact 100% virtual. Called Alpine GTA Concept, the study is in fact reserved for a video game running on crypto-currencies.
Russian designer Arseny Kostromin, Alpine fan and ex-Renault employee, designed the Alpine GTA concept using Autodesk software. The lines are similar to those of the Berlinette, but still stand out: Refined headlights at the front, specific rims, oversized spoiler and completely revised lights at the rear … From this overall design, the designers of Alpine and Alpine F1 Team have created five specific liveries to make them unique vehicles, even if they remain virtual.
Digital works of art
This groundbreaking study falls into the category of “crypto art”, And differs from other artistic creations and concept cars by its shape. It’s about a virtual auto in the form of NFT (« Non Fungible Tokens“, Or non-fungible token in French), which allows you to give a title deed to a digital object. Like other works of art, the five virtual liveries of Alpine GTA Concept will therefore be sold to five sole owners. The sale will take place between November 3 and November 5 on a dedicated online platform, thanks to the partnership with the specialized companies nfast and Animoca Brands. Be careful, however, you will need to have a crypto-currency wallet to participate in the auction.
The five examples of the Alpine GTA concept each have a specific decoration: graphic blue-white-red tricolor, black paint with a stylized and iridescent large A, or even Alpine Blue complete paint, the brand’s historic color … The owners of the copies sold will then be able to use their vehicle in the REVV Racing game., a simulation game that uses NFT technology.
