Volkswagen has taken stock of the number of pre-orders for its ID.Buzz electric van. The manufacturer also gives details on the production of the model.
A month ago, Volkswagen announced that it had reached the milestone of 10,000 pre-orders for ID.Buzz. The electric van continues to keep the same popularity and regular pre-orders.
Thus, Volkswagen indicated that it had crossed 12,500 pre-orders, or 2,500 in one month. ID.Buzz had passed the 10,000 pre-order mark in three months, or just over 3,000 pre-orders per month on average.
These figures are very encouraging for the manufacturer, as Carsten Intra reminds us. The director of commercial vehicles of VW indeed recalls that no customer has seen the ID.Buzz in person in the concessions.
In fact, orders should accelerate when the first copies will be visible to the public. These are also the ones that will be manufactured as a priority.
“Of the approximately 15,000 vehicles that we will manufacture in 2022, not all of them will go to customers immediately”he says. “We must first give stock to resellers. The first 6,000 copies will therefore go to dealerships, then come the vehicles for customers. »
The Cargo version of ID.Buzz accounts for just under half of pre-orders. Nevertheless, Volkswagen does not give any details for the moment on the production order of the two variants.
