Skoda Enyaq RS iV: official info and photos

After the Skoda Enyaq Coupé, it is the turn of the classic Enyaq SUV to receive its sporty RS iV variant, with 300 hp thanks to two electric motors.

At the start of 2022, Skoda unveiled the RS iV variant of its Enyaq Coupé. Tested in our columns in the spring, the sports variant was for the moment reserved for the coupe body, but is now available on the traditional Enyaq SUV.

It is therefore the second electric model available in the RS iV range. The Enyaq uses the same recipe as the coupe, with two electric motors delivering a combined power of 220 kW, or 300 hp. Thanks to this set offering 460 Nm of torque, the SUV has all-wheel drive as standard. The MEB platform is common to several models of the Volkswagen group, including the VW ID.4, ID.5 and Audi Q4 e-tron among others. But the Enyaq RS iV comes out of the Skoda factory in Mladá Boleslav (Czech Republic), from which the 100,000th copy will soon come out.

Some specifics for the RS iV variant

The Enyaq RS iV stands out from more conventional variants with its sport suspension lowering the ground clearance by 15 millimeters at the front and 10 millimeters at the rear. It also offers 20 or 21-inch rims, a specific Green Mamba color in addition to other colors. The look is more sporty with reworked bumpers, black accents (badges, grille and window surround, diffuser, mirror caps), body-coloured rocker panels and an illuminated Crystal Face grille as standard.

On board, the SUV is distinguished by carbon-style inserts, heated sports seats with RS logo and suede upholstery with contrasting green stitching. The 13-inch central screen is complemented by a configurable 5.3-inch Digital Cockpit for displaying the counters.

More than 500 km of autonomy

In addition to its power increased to 300 hp, the RS variant improves its top speed and climbs up to 180 km/h, against 160 km/h for the other Enyaq. It does 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds, as much as the Enyaq Coupé RS iV. The 82 kWh battery would allow, according to the brand, to offer a little more than 500 km of autonomy according to the WLTP cycle.

Skoda plans to market it from mid-November, with first deliveries at the end of the year. The price is currently unknown, but should be slightly lower than that of the equivalent Enyaq Coupé, which is displayed from €62,210.
