For several months, Dacia has regularly increased the prices of its models. This time, the increase goes up to €1,000 for certain versions, including the entry-level Spring, which exceeds €20,000!
Depending on the season, Dacia increases the prices of its models. Yet recognized for its affordable prices, the brand no longer hesitates to subject Spring, Sandero, Jogger and Duster to major inflation. At the start of 2022, the Sandero city car had thus exceeded €10,000 at the entry level. This time, it is especially the Spring which is affected, with an increase of €1,000 for the entry-level which makes it start at more than €20,000 (excluding bonuses).
Nearly €4,000 increase in two years of career for the Spring
On November 3, the electric city car will become less affordable since it will now be displayed at €20,800 before bonuses (limited to 27% of the purchase price, or €5,616 to be deducted) at the Essential entry level. The “high-end” Expression variant will retail for €22,100 (+ €800). As a reminder, when it was launched, the Spring was displayed at €16,990, an increase of €3,810 in two years.
For its part, the Sandero increases by 300 € for all versions, whether for the classic body or the Stepway adventurer. The only exception: the entry-level Essential SCe 65 hp, which climbs by €500 and now asks for €11,490.
The Duster and the Jogger from €16,990
The Duster suffers the same fate, with an entry level very affected by inflation (+ €1,000 for the Essential Eco-G 100 4×2) and an overall increase of €300 for the rest of the finishes and engines. The special Mat Edition series presented at the Mondial is not yet displayed in the catalog. The brand’s best-selling SUV starts in November at €16,990, up from €15,990 since the last increase. This is exactly the price of the thermal MG ZS to which we recently compared it in a comparison!
Yet recent, the Jogger does not escape the price increase. The model suffers an inflation of 200 to 600 € depending on the version. In detail, the entry-level Essential equipped with the Eco-G 100 engine (bi-fuel LPG) in the 5-seater variant goes up by 200 €. All other 5-seat variants go up by €500, while the 7-seat ones go up by €600. The basic Jogger is now displayed at €16,990, and the range climbs up to €22,200. Note that a hybrid engine from Renault (the 140 hp E-Tech) will be offered from the start of 2023, but is not yet displayed in the catalog.
