Jeep plans to make the Compass, its large SUV, electric. It could use Stellantis’ STLA platform.
Thanks to the Stellantis group, Jeep hopes to accelerate the development of its electric range. So, after the presentation of the Avenger, a ‘zero emission’ Compass would be in the pipeline.
The American manufacturer wishes to benefit from Stellantis technologies. In this case, this Compass would use the group’s STLA Medium platform, which is due to arrive next year.
Jeep’s electric lineup is expected to feature four different models in 2025. The Avenger will be the smallest vehicle, just below the Recon.
The Jeep Wagoneer will be the flagship of the range in which the Compass should fit. Thanks to the STLA Medium platform, it will have four-wheel drive and up to 600 kilometers of autonomy.
On the engine side, this future Compass should develop between 168 and 241 horsepower. It could also gain in size, thanks to the arrival of the Avenger which would play the role of the small vehicle. In addition, the Compass will be present on all world markets, which explains this gain in size, so that it can satisfy all potential customers.
