It is one of the main scourges of teleworking. The latter can be done almost anywhere and some do not hesitate to do it behind the wheel. A very bad idea.
Most recently, the SANEF (Société des Autoroutes du Nord et de l’Est de France) commissioned a study on the use of the telephone while driving.
The results have just fallen and they are not good at all. According to the latter, 81% of people surveyed admit to using their phone driving. And among them, 84% are between 25 and 34 years old according to The Parisian who had access to the details of this study.
Worrisome? to say the least. And yet, the penalties have not been eased for using the phone while driving. It is always about 135 € fine as well as 3 points less on the driver’s license.
#Road safety⚠️⤴️ risky behavior with + teleworking⚠️
👉73% of teleworkers say they use their phone while driving and 15% use it + than before 😱

Teleworking involved?
These numbers have increased in a matter of months. In question, the Covid-19 crisis and the teleworking it spawned. Indeed, among those interviewed, 15% of teleworkers admit to using their phones more while driving. Even worse, 10% of them admit to using videoconferencing while driving.
Pascal Contremoulins, in charge of road safety at the Sanef group, spoke in the columns of the Parisian :
“With teleworking, we are always connected. We have also developed new tools that make it possible to do so. And this habit continues in the car ”.
Behaviors dangerous for other motorists but also for the road officials who work on French highways on a daily basis.
