Some drivers don’t like to drive at night. After watching this video, they are not likely to change their minds that’s for sure!
In the middle of the night, in the middle of a forest, the lights are often rare. Visibility is therefore very reduced and you only have to rely on your headlights to see anything.
The author of this video was typically in this scenario at the wheel of his truck, on a small road in the Australian countryside. Everything was fine when suddenly a tree appeared in front of the truck!
The latter had just fallen a few minutes earlier and with so little visibility, the trucker didn’t have time to dodge it. Luckily, the latter was traveling in a vehicle capable of withstanding such an impact.
At such a pace, the truck driver had absolutely no chance of avoiding the tree trunk lying on the road. But as we mentioned just above, he can consider himself lucky to have taken it head-on in a truck. With a car things could have been much more problematic.
More fear than harm therefore, but it proves that, at night and without visibility, reducing your speed can be a great idea.
