After starting from 10th position, Hamilton climbs back up and confronts Verstappen to win the Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix.
From zero to hero, these are the feelings that Lewis Hamilton has gone through in this Grand Prix weekend. After taking a 5-place penalty for changing the engine, after being disqualified from qualifying; the Briton has started a long comeback since Saturday in the sprint race. And finally this Sunday in the race, after starting from 10th position on the starting grid.
The Mercedes driver took advantage of a high-performance Mercedes to apply himself to the task and get back to Red Bull as quickly as possible. From then on, the seven-time world champion made short work of it, in two stages. A first time by controversies around his first pass of arms with Max Verstappen. And a second time on the track!
In the final, Lewis Hamilton won his 101st victory in the Brazilian Grand Prix and thus reduced the point gap with Max Verstappen to 14 points.
