Seen from France, the Polestar 2 is still invisible. But in the rest of Europe sales are doing well. Just over two years after its launch Polestar celebrated the production of the 100,000ᵉ copy.
Of course, since the brand was banned in our country until this summer, you don’t come across Polestar 2s on every street corner. But the results are rather satisfactory in the other countries. On a European scale, it thus ranks 5ᵉ in sales of Premium electric models, ahead of its cousin Volvo XC40. Better still, it also ranks 5ᵉ in sales of the premium D segment, all energies combined. For example, it is ahead of the BMW i4. Over the first 9 months, 17,994 copies were sold in Europe.
Over the year, Polestar has already produced 50,000 units at its Luqiao plant, and expects to deliver the same number before the end of the year. The brand is present in Europe, but also in China, North America and several countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
With these good results for the year 2022, Polestar has therefore just celebrated the factory exit of the 100,000ᵉ copy of its electric sedan. The very first Polestar 2 was delivered in July 2020.
The start seems encouraging, but the brand remains relieved to be financially supported by Volvo and the parent company Geely…
