Suzuki has imagined a Municipal Police version of its new hybrid S-Cross. The first copies have just been delivered.
On the one hand, there are brands that want to sell less to professionals, as these sales are not very profitable, for example Renault. And on the other, those who, on the contrary, want to break into this market. This is the case with Suzuki. The Japanese company has recently made sales to companies and administrations an area of development in France.
In addition to boosting deliveries, this increases the manufacturer’s visibility on our roads, especially if it manages to establish itself in strategic markets such as those of the police. Suzuki has the municipal police in its sights. This year, the manufacturer launched a range of vehicles adapted to this clientele. There is the new generation of the S-Cross in the lot, offered with a simple hybrid engine of 115 hp.

The adaptation to the needs of the Municipal Police is quite simple. Suzuki teamed up with Jocquin, a French coachbuilder based in the Somme. On order from a dealer, Jocquin equips the S-Cross with a light bar of 12 blue LED lights, two blue penetration lights fixed to the front, a “police” horn, an interior microphone connected a 100 watt exterior loudspeaker, and “Police Municipale” signage on the sides, front and back.
The first copies of these S-Cross are being delivered. They are added to the great diversity of vehicles that equip the municipal police, each town hall launching its call for tenders. We recently discovered the Skoda Enyaq of the Municipal Police of Saint Maurice (94).
