Alfa Romeo boss Jean-Philippe Imparato has confirmed that another raised model will be offered after the Tonale.

In 2017, the Italian firm launched its very first leggy model, the Stelvio, which met with great success and enabled it to boost its sales. But the range is about to expand, while a newcomer will soon integrate it. This is the Tonale, whose presentation scheduled for November will be postponed for a few weeks, after the accident of the prototype to be shown to the public. But who should become the star of the biscione brand shouldn’t be left alone for long.
Indeed, a third SUV could see the light of day in the next few years, according to early news. And this time, it is not a question of rumors but of a statement from the boss of Alfa Romeo himself, Jean-Philippe Imparato. The former CEO of Peugeot has indeed confirmed the arrival of another elevated model within the range in the coming years, responding to the noise of corridors that had already been circulating for a little while. This should then take the name of Brennero, and could then be a B-segment SUV. In an interview with Automotive News, the boss of the brand indeed claimed that “ I have to be in the biggest segments of the world. I must be in the B-SUV and C-SUV segment. Being alone in a corner brings no results ».
Arrived in 2023
So far, no information has been revealed about this future. Alfa Romeo Brenner, which is not expected to arrive in the catalog until 2023, when its official reveal is expected within the next year. With the Tonale, it should then represent the majority of the brand’s sales, even if nothing is known about its range of engines. Regardless, the brand’s first zero-emission model will arrive in 2024, while it plans to go 100% electric by 2027.
